Arabella Crook joins RGS Vietnam

We are delighted to announce that Mrs Arabella Crook will join RGS Vietnam, from Reigate Grammar school in the UK, as our new Director of Education for the next academic year.

She graduated from the University of Edinburgh where she obtained a BSc in Mathematics. After working for a corporate law firm in the City of London, she completed a Masters Degree in Mathematical Modelling at the University of Bristol and then went into teaching, achieving her QTS. She has worked at a number of excellent schools, including Haileybury College; City of London School; Tonbridge School; and Ardingly College.

Arabella joined Reigate Grammar School ten years ago, as Head of Mathematics and was promoted to the senior leadership team as Assistant Head in 2017, and during that time has served as Education Director of RGS International, helping to launch RGS schools in China and Vietnam. Her senior leadership role has focused on all educational aspects of RGS, especially teaching and learning; High Performance Learning (HPL); school management systems, wellbeing and pastoral care.

She is passionate about providing outstanding education for all students. She believes in a personalised approach that supports the needs of the individual, both in terms of pastoral care and academic enrichment.

Arabella has been tasked as Director of Education to replicate and translate the rigorous academic standards and the sector leading approaches to wellbeing and pastoral care of RGS UK to RGS Vietnam. She will do this through her support of the teaching and leadership teams at RGS Vietnam to raise standards. With ten years of Reigate Grammar School experience she will bring true RGS DNA to our school here in Hanoi. Arabella joins with her husband Richard, and their son Robbie.
